Brett Crompton, Co-Owner & Licensed Massage Therapist
Hailing originally from the idyllic Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania, Brett’s wild heart took him all over the world before landing him in Western NY in 2015. Brett is currently only available at Wild Heart Wellness seasonally.
Brett’s first love in life was soccer. He attended Messiah College in central PA where, as a tenacious midfielder, he helped carry the team to three NCAA championships in 2005, 2006, and 2008. In 2010, Brett turned dreams into reality when he signed a professional contract for Chaing Mai FC in Thailand. While the guy certainly has some great foot skills, it’s really movement of any kind that is his passion and joy. An avid fly-fisherman, cyclist, and climber, Brett is happiest when his body is healthy and in motion.
After navigating a debilitating hip injury, Brett sought the healing art of Thai Massage, which is performed on a floor mat with the client fully clothed. Thai Massage is a mix of treating specific pressure points, stretching, and energy work. After much dedication, Brett mastered this technique and was asked to become an assistant teacher. Today, a NYS licensed massage therapist, Brett does an incredible job of combining this ancient art with the more modern sports technique, which together provide a unique and deeply healing experience for his clients.
Functional Range Conditioning
Adding to his repertoire of healing arts, Brett’s current interest is in Functional Range Conditioning (FRC®). This system of mobility training was developed by world-renowned musculoskeletal, and human movement expert Dr. Andreo Spina. It is a system of joint health and mobility training based in scientific principal and research. Brett is currently the only certified FRC (Functional Range Conditioning) instructor in the Rochester/Buffalo area. His enthusiasm and passion for this system of injury-prevention is contagious and he enjoys working one-on-one with clients who are recovering from injury.
Massage Therapist for the Buffalo Sabres
Brett is currently the massage therapist for the Buffalo Sabres, which keeps him away from the Wild Heart Wellness office most of the winter. But he will be accepting off-season clients for Thai Massage, Sports Massage, and FRC consultation starting May 1st.
